Webbah87 won Qatar's D2 race from pole, ending a victory wait that stretched back to Season 5 Round 8. Walter9500 finished second from the adjacent grid slot.

The finishing order carried immediate championship weight. Webbah left Round 7 on 110 points, 11 ahead of Walter9500 on 99; kyotonic completed the Qatar podium from fourth on the grid.

No traffic between the title pair

Webbah and Walter9500 started first and second and finished first and second. Nothing in the official classification separated their contest through an intervening rival, so the full scoring difference landed directly on the two championship totals.

For Williams, Webbah's win joined PolyTromp's D1 victory in a 156-point BOTT round. The team led Ferrari by 21 points on the weekend and passed 1,000 for the season.

Eleven points, one round before Azerbaijan

The calendar placed Azerbaijan next. Webbah's 11-point lead was useful rather than decisive, especially with Walter9500 having occupied the runner-up spot that limited the damage in Qatar.

The result carried two clocks: the long one measuring the wait since Season 5, and the short one measuring the title gap before Round 8. Webbah stopped the first and improved the second.
