PolyTromp won the Qatar D1 race from second on the grid, beating pole-sitter Darth Ussh and moving into second place in the championship.

Darth's 24 points lifted the championship leader to 153. PolyTromp reached 94, leaving a 59-point gap despite taking the race win.

Closer in position, farther away in points

PolyTromp climbed from third to second in the table with a 30-point score. Yet Darth's own return meant the lead increased from 55 to 59. Progress can be real without being sufficient.

OfflineKids completed the podium from third, the one driver in the top three whose grid and finishing positions matched.

Six points gained, four points lost

PolyTromp outscored Darth by six in Qatar and displaced MagMagnussen's 74-point total with a 94-point claim to second. The nearest rival changed, and the leader's margin still grew.

Qatar sharpened the rivalry rather than resolving it: PolyTromp became the named pursuer, but Darth left with four more points of breathing room than he brought.
