RobbySimps44 finished second for Williams after starting third and supplied 18 of the team's 24 D3 points. Ferrari added 25, one more than Williams across the division.
A seven-point starting edge absorbs a one-point loss
Williams entered the round on 33 D3 constructor points to Ferrari's 26. Their Abu Dhabi additions narrowed that existing seven-point advantage by one, leaving Williams six clear.
The distinction is useful: Ferrari owned the race win and the larger divisional score; Williams owned the championship lead. Abu Dhabi allowed both statements to be true without asking either to impersonate the other.
Robby also keeps the drivers' lead by two
Robby's runner-up finish moved him to 45 driver points, two ahead of Zoolander on 43. Williams therefore left the round first in both supplied D3 tables despite finishing second in the race.
Spa would test two slender cushions: two points for Robby and six for Williams. Abu Dhabi had supplied neither victory, only the championship positions that mattered next.
