VHUNT3R won Abu Dhabi D3 from fourth for McLaren, claiming a first IMS victory. Zoolander83 finished second from P3 and SixPath HamM third from P5.

All three podium finishers gained positions, but VHUNT3R made the decisive three-place move. P4 became P1 and a first winner's entry.

The winner arrives outside the title lead

NesbiLeGrand remained the championship leader on 266 points, 83 ahead of zoolander83. VHUNT3R's breakthrough expanded the race-winning cast without disturbing the recorded summit.

Ferrari also led the constructors on 481 points, 256 ahead of Williams. McLaren owned the Abu Dhabi victory inside a season table dominated elsewhere.

A standalone sporting achievement

That context does not diminish the first win; it defines it. VHUNT3R beat the second-placed championship driver and did so from behind on the grid.

Spa came next, but Abu Dhabi had already changed VHUNT3R's season record. Three places gained were enough to reach the top step for the first time.
