Williams scored 209 points in Abu Dhabi, the tenth-highest IMS team-round total through Season 5 Round 10. Two wins, two podiums and six top-five finishes came from ten starts.
McLaren finished second on 182 and Haas third on 161. Williams won the BOTT round by 27 points and put another non-Ferrari team into the historical top ten.
Tenth closes a demanding table
Ferrari's 289-point Bahrain record remained first, with 266 at the Season 3 Mystery Race and 230 at Monza completing the top three. Williams sat 80 points below the record.
The 209 total was two points below ninth-place Ferrari at Season 3 Monza and 3.7 below VCARB's 212.7 at Imola. The bottom of the top ten was separated by fine margins.
Two wins, six top fives
Williams' profile was unusual because both podiums were victories. Four additional top-five finishes supplied the depth below those peaks.
Abu Dhabi therefore entered the record book through a mixture of maximum results and supporting scores. The complete ten-row table shows exactly why 209 was enough.
