Aban-96- won the Abu Dhabi D2 race from third on the grid and secured the Season 5 drivers’ championship with one round remaining. Jhazztan rose from P5 to complete a Haas one-two.
The win took Aban to 171 points, 42 ahead of PerfectPaulie88 on 129. Spa could offer 32, so the championship was settled by a ten-point mathematical clearance.
A one-two with a permanent consequence
Mozza43 finished third from pole, but Haas reversed the first three positions with both cars moving forward. Aban gained two places; jhazztan gained three.
The team result amplified the title moment without causing confusion about it. Aban’s own score established the unreachable total; the second Haas on the podium gave the coronation a matching visual.
Spa can change the margin, not the champion
PerfectPaulie could still reduce the final difference, but even a maximum score could not reach Aban’s 171. D2 would arrive at the finale with first place decided.
Abu Dhabi had already seen Aban turn a 19-point lead into something conclusive. This time the chequered flag and the arithmetic agreed immediately.
