King Pigeon5160 started and finished second in Silverstone D1, securing a first IMS podium for Red Bull. Thalo4 won from 15th and BULLDOGGER47 climbed from tenth to third.
The result contained no net position gain for King Pigeon, but it did contain 24 points and a finish only 1.161 seconds behind the winner. Holding P2 proved more valuable than decorating the route there.
Six points cover the first D1 title pair
Thalo led the opening D1 standings on 30 points, six ahead of King Pigeon on 24. The first championship table therefore preserved the same top two as the Silverstone result.
King Pigeon's milestone belonged to consistency across one race rather than a recovery record. Pole was not his, victory was not his, and second place never stopped being enough for a breakthrough.
Red Bull starts three points behind VCARB
VCARB led the D1 constructors' standings on 44 points, with Red Bull second on 41. King Pigeon's 24-point return supplied more than half of Red Bull's opening total.
Imola came next with the driver and team gaps both in single figures. King Pigeon arrived there not as a speculative contender, but as the driver already listed second in both race and standings.
