SideFx99 climbed from 20th on the Silverstone D1 grid to finish fifth, gaining 15 positions. The result established a new IMS record for places recovered through Season 2 Round 1.
The podium contained Thalo4, King Pigeon5160 and BULLDOGGER47. SideFx stopped two places beyond it, separating the largest recovery from the three trophy positions.
Fifteen replaces a four-way benchmark at 13
The historical table placed SideFx first on 15. MagHeXC, Jakebandy8, MilitaryMaple18 and SideFx's own Abu Dhabi drive occupied the next four rows on 13.
That previous tie remains visible, but it no longer shares the record. Silverstone moved the benchmark by two places and gave SideFx both the old 13-place entry and the new 15-place mark.
VCARB leads D1 without a second podium
VCARB opened the D1 constructors' standings on 44 points, three ahead of Red Bull. Thalo supplied the win; SideFx's P5 provided depth beyond the podium that helped preserve the team lead.
Imola would offer the first challenge to the 15-place number. SideFx left Silverstone with fifth place in the race and first place in a record table, which is a rather better pairing than the grid had promised.
