MilitaryMaple18 moved from sixth on the Imola D2 grid to finish second, securing a first IMS podium for Red Bull. ForestalWaif1 won from eighth and PerfectPaulie88 finished third from pole.

Four positions gained placed MilitaryMaple between the race's seven-place winner and its two-place-losing pole-sitter. The podium's middle step was also its middle recovery.

Red Bull scores 102 without winning a division

Red Bull ranked second in the combined BOTT table with 102 points from eight starts, three podiums and four top-five finishes. MilitaryMaple supplied 24 points and one of those podiums.

Ferrari led the round on 178 after winning three divisions. Red Bull's 76-point deficit reflected the absence of a win, while its three podiums kept the weekend far from empty.

Ferrari leads D2; Forestal leads the drivers

Forestal left Imola first in the D2 driver standings on 40 points, two ahead of Her Wet Cat. Ferrari led the constructors on 76, with Alpine second on 48; MilitaryMaple's milestone belonged to the race rather than either supplied lead.

Canada came next. MilitaryMaple had turned a third-row start into the result Red Bull needed most in D2: a podium carrying enough weight to matter inside a winless team round.
