ForestalWaif1 reached the same headline position by a very different route. A P8-to-P1 D2 recovery gave the VCARB driver 40 points in total and a two-point lead after Imola.
Twenty-nine seconds in D3, seven places in D2
Starting from P3, Her Wet Cat gained two grid positions to win. Duxnuts69 climbed seven to finish second from P9 and ELITE HEAT SHOW moved from sixth to third, yet the first two cars were still separated by almost half a minute.
The historical table supplies the scale: the previous IMS benchmark was PerfectPaulie88's 17.953-second D2 win in Season 1. Her Wet Cat extended that mark by 11.709 seconds.
Forestal takes the narrower prize
Forestal's seven-place gain matched Duxnuts69's for the largest movement among the two featured podiums. MilitaryMaple18 took D2 second from P6 and PerfectPaulie88 fell from pole to third; the championship consequence was a lead measured in two points, not 29.
Imola therefore planted two Season 2 threads without pretending they were identical. Her Wet Cat left with the widest verified margin IMS had seen. Forestal left with the smallest possible useful buffer—and the D2 lead.
