Rochamoya finished second from fourth on the Brazil D1 grid to earn a first IMS podium for Mercedes. Pole-sitter TheMekanic17 won for Red Bull, with team-mate Ranga20063239 third.
The two-place gain placed Rochamoya between Red Bull cars that had started first and third. Mercedes therefore interrupted the team's otherwise complete hold on the D1 podium order.
One podium carries the Mercedes round
Mercedes scored 67 BOTT points from eight starts, recording one podium and two top-five finishes without a win. Rochamoya supplied the podium and 24 of those points.
Red Bull led the overall team table on 128 points, Ferrari followed on 109 and McLaren scored 93. Mercedes' success was narrower: one driver turned a second-row start into the team's only top-three result.
Red Bull closes to ten in D1
The winner and third-place finisher helped Red Bull score 51 D1 constructors' points, reducing Ferrari's lead to ten. Rochamoya's second place denied Red Bull the maximum podium sweep while leaving its title advance intact.
Brazil sent Rochamoya to Portugal as an IMS podium finisher. The result needed no invented overtaking sequence: P4 became P2, Mercedes gained its only trophy position, and two Red Bulls remained on either side.
