MilitaryMaple18 and Tedoi6974 combined for 61 points in Baku E1, sharing the second-highest driver-pair score in IMS history through Season 2 Round 8. They finished second and third for Red Bull.
TheIceman729 won from pole for Ferrari, leaving MilitaryMaple and Tedoi to build the historical total without victory. Their grid positions of third and sixth became the two remaining podium places.
Three points separate first from second
Darth Ussh and TheIceman led the comparison with 64 points in Canada. MilitaryMaple and Tedoi shared second on 61 with Ferrari's Portugal pair, followed by two 56-point combinations from Imola and Portugal.
Red Bull's entry was the only leading pair total built from second and third place. The three rows above 56 otherwise contained at least one Ferrari victory.
Ferrari's E1 lead still grows
Despite Red Bull's double podium, Ferrari reached 380 points in the E1 constructors' standings and led by 74. TheIceman's win and Ferrari's supporting score added two points to the previous team advantage.
Brazil followed with Red Bull's Baku pair fixed beside Ferrari's Portugal 61. Equal totals, different podium shapes: the table had finally found a useful way to make repetition informative.
