Mercedes turns a one-point deficit into a 14-point D1 lead

A Monza one-two worth 68 points reversed the constructors’ order, as Red Bull’s TheMekanic17 recovered from P9 to preserve a valuable third place.

Mercedes took the D1 constructors’ lead at Monza after LKR Gerardo6 and Meowsy finished first and second. Their 68 points moved the team to 289.

Red Bull scored 28 and slipped to second on 275, leaving Mercedes 14 points clear. The order had reversed from the Mystery Race, where Red Bull led by 26.

A 40-point round swing reverses the order

Mercedes outscored Red Bull by 40 at Monza. Gerardo’s win and Meowsy’s second place supplied the bulk; TheMekanic17 limited Red Bull’s loss by climbing from P9 to third.

The drivers’ championship moved differently. TheMekanic extended that lead to 62 points over piastrigoat despite finishing behind both Mercedes cars.

The one-two did more than score heavily. It reversed a championship position one round before the finale, while TheMekanic’s recovery ensured the individual contest did not follow the same direction.
