ctxVincent won Austria's E2 race from second on the grid, claiming a first IMS victory for Mercedes. JPlanteX finished second from pole and Rickk116 rose from P7 to third.
JPlanteX's runner-up finish preserved the championship lead on 47 points, ten ahead of Rickk116. Ferrari also remained first in the E2 constructors' table, 19 clear of VCARB.
The race changes; the table resists
Austria produced a new winner without producing a new championship leader. ctxVincent owned the classification; JPlanteX's two-round total still owned the standings. Both statements can be true without diminishing either result.
The podium's grid movement sharpened that split. P2 became P1, pole became second and P7 became third—a compact example of why the finishing order deserves to be shown beside the championship outcome.
