FTR Button won D2 at Zandvoort-R from pole by 21.006 seconds, the seventh-largest victory margin in IMS history through Season 4 Round 5. It followed a Spa win that had ended a victory wait stretching back to Season 2 Round 5.
HPJones finished second from P3 and remained the D2 championship leader on 87 points. FTR's second straight win raised the total to 65, cutting the live contest to 22 with five rounds complete.
The return acquires a second chapter
Spa had been a return: P7 became P1 and the long gap between wins ended. Zandvoort-R changed the meaning of that result. Pole became another victory, turning a single comeback weekend into the beginning of a run.
Opts Tryhard completed the podium from P7. The order offers one useful contrast: the winner held the strongest starting position and built the large recorded margin, while both cars behind improved on their grid places.
Seventh needs the full comparison
The historical module lists the first seven margins and marks the 21.006-second result in place. That table makes the ranking inspectable; it does not convert elapsed time into an invented story about tyre use, pressure or control.
The championship implication was simpler. HPJones still held 87 to FTR's 65, but the driver doing the winning had now done it twice in succession. The 22-point deficit was substantial; it was no longer comfortable enough to ignore.
