CONNOROCE finished second from P3 in Spain and took 30 points out of HPJones's D2 championship advantage. HP still led on 125, but CONNOROCE closed to 114.
Her Wet Cat won from P5 to complete a VCARB one-two, with JPlanteX third from pole. VCARB's constructors' lead expanded to 53 points over Ferrari.
The threat comes from the same garage
VCARB could celebrate the race and team table while confronting a new internal title shape. HPJones remained first; CONNOROCE had become the nearest driver through a 30-point relative gain.
The one-two mattered beyond aesthetics. Her Wet Cat supplied the win, CONNOROCE supplied the championship swing and both results strengthened VCARB's constructor control.
Eleven points travel to China
An 11-point gap left HPJones in command but not at ease. China would receive a title contest whose nearest challenger had just made the largest relative move named in the round.
Spain's D2 result was therefore not merely another VCARB success. It put the team's drivers first and second in a live championship while widening the team advantage around them.
