NesbiLeGrand advanced from third to win the Texas D3 race for Ferrari. OnlineGuy99 held second from P2, while zoolander83 climbed from fourth to third in the other Ferrari.
The victory moved Nesbi to 113 points, 37 ahead of OnlineGuy99. Four rounds into Season 5, the D3 leader possessed more than a full race win of breathing room.
The chaser finishes second and still loses ground
OnlineGuy99's P2 was a strong result in isolation. In championship terms, it could not prevent the leader ahead from adding to the separation.
Ferrari's two podium places also pushed the D3 constructors' total to 203, 105 ahead of Williams. The same podium simultaneously strengthened Nesbi's individual lead and Ferrari's team position.
Control built one round at a time
A 37-point lead did not decide an eleven-round season in Texas. It did change the burden: Nesbi could be beaten in a race and still remain difficult to catch across the championship.
Mexico would offer the next chance to respond. Texas left the D3 field with an exact target—113 points, and a leader who had just turned P3 into another victory.
