OnlineGuy handed race ban as Japan verdicts reshape D3 title fight

Japan’s results have been rewritten in several places after the FIA decided 31 incidents across D0-D4, sanctioned 15 drivers and produced 20 changes of position.

No decision carries a greater consequence than the one against OnlineGuy99. A five-second penalty turned second place into sixth, while three penalty points lifted his active total to 12 and triggered a race ban for the next D3 event.

The verdicts transferred 40 championship points between drivers. Some races barely moved; others look substantially different now that the provisional classifications have become official.

Online’s 12-point total changes the championship

Online received one penalty point for the move on kelloggsrule and another two because he did not provide the required point-of-view footage. Combined with the nine points already on his licence, that takes him directly to the 12-point threshold.

The on-track penalty was damaging enough. Online fell from P2 to P6 and his provisional championship total dropped from 146 to 134. quenooo29 moved from eighth to seventh, gaining two points, and now leads by 46 rather than the provisional 32.

Online will miss the next D3 race. Even if he wins both of the final two races after serving the ban, his maximum possible total is 198 points. quenooo starts the next round on 180, meaning 19 points would put Online out of reach; 21 would also secure the championship against every remaining contender, while second place alone is worth 23.

The rest of the D3 verdicts strengthened the order behind the title leader. Jean_Claude04 climbed from seventh to fourth, JDJT3593 and kelloggsrule each gained a place, and Zac fell from sixth to eighth. TheMDog’s victory and winning streak remain untouched.

Jacko’s complaint against J_Cøi33 was also upheld after footage was supplied. J_Cøi received 10 seconds and three penalty points, although the added time did not change the final position.

Lord DabFoot loses his D2 podium

The largest single points loss belongs to Lord DabFoot. Three separate penalties for ghosting through other cars added 15 seconds to his race time, dropping the Cadillac driver from second to ninth and taking away 18 points.

That decision promoted a long queue of drivers. Kaтю́shа Snowstorm inherited second, Webbah87 moved onto the podium, and TheMDog, kyotonic and Schokolade all gained one place. John Marco rose from ninth to seventh after the game-issued 10-second penalty for being forced through the chicane was removed, although a separate five-second penalty for his move on Webbah remained.

The revised order gives Webbah 144 points and a 26-point championship lead over Walter9500. Kaтю́shа is now only three points behind Walter, turning the fight for second into a live three-way element of the title run-in.

Ferrari still leads Williams in the D2 constructors’ championship, but the gap is now 22 points at 271-249.

One more penalty could effectively end Wadz’s season

D1’s finishing order did not change, but Wadz51’s two penalty points may have created the division’s most serious longer-term consequence.

Wadz is now on 11 active penalty points. The Japan verdict also imposed a separate suspended race ban that will be triggered by any further penalty point before the end of the season.

That means the next point would activate two sanctions at once: the normal race ban for reaching 12 penalty points and the suspended FIA ban. With three rounds remaining, a penalty awarded in the next round’s verdicts would remove Wadz from both of the final two races.

Tedhead also received three penalty points and a qualifying ban after pausing on track to deafen voice chat while cars approached. Kaтю́shа’s net two-second sanction left her tenth in D1, so the race winner and championship picture in the division remain unchanged.

Small changes in D0 and D4

D0 produced one swap. xAQxFr moved from seventh to sixth at Adaś’s expense, a two-point transfer that leaves Zopz’s race win and cloud’s provisional championship success untouched. vMv Kart’s game disqualification was not part of the verdict process and remains in the classification.

D4 also changed only one pairing. Ceetee19 moved from tenth to ninth and gained two points, while ash2811 fell to tenth. Tem received five seconds and one penalty point for contact with McBeth655, but the time penalty could not alter a DNF.

JDJT3593 and Higosh! therefore remain level on 183 points at the top of D4. Williams’ 160-point constructors’ lead over Red Bull is also unchanged.

How the verdicts moved the BOTT table

The verdicts did not threaten Williams’ overall BOTT lead, but they redistributed points across ten teams. Williams lost four points on balance despite gains for Webbah, JDJT and kyotonic because Online and Adaś surrendered a combined 14.

Cadillac took the heaviest hit at minus 20, almost entirely through Lord DabFoot’s fall down the D2 order. Audi gained eight, Red Bull gained six, Haas gained five and Ferrari gained four.

Red Bull’s gain and Aston Martin’s two-point net loss widen their fight for third from the provisional 28 points to an official 36. Williams leads the overall table on 1,322 points, ahead of Ferrari on 912 and Red Bull on 755.

The Japan weekend is now official. The race reports told the story of what happened on track; the verdicts have decided which results, championship margins and suspensions will travel to the next round.
