tofo17 won the Las Vegas D2 race from third on the grid, claiming a first IMS victory for VCARB. Tedoi6974 finished second for McLaren and PerfectPaulie88 third for Alpine.
Tofo gained two places between grid and flag. No podium finisher started lower than Tedoi in sixth, but the maximum 25-point score belonged to the VCARB driver.
One top-five finish, one victory, 35 points
VCARB scored 35 BOTT points from six starts and ranked third for the round. Its countback listed one win, one podium and one top-five finish, concentrating the team's sharp end entirely in tofo's result.
Red Bull led the weekend on 63 and Ferrari followed on 60. VCARB was 25 points further back, but neither of the top two teams owned this particular divisional victory.
The race winner sits outside the frozen title duel
Jakebandy8 remained the D2 championship leader on 59 points, one ahead of Ranga20063239, after neither started the round. Las Vegas moved the season forward by adding tofo to the winners even while the top-two score stayed still.
Silverstone would restart the argument at the top. Before it did, VCARB could keep the simpler Las Vegas fact: when the opportunity opened, tofo17 took all 25 points.
