Red Bull left Abu Dhabi with 130 D1 constructor points, 19 ahead of Mercedes on 111. Its advantage had been nine before the round, so the response added ten points to the cushion.

TheMekanic17 converted pole into victory for Red Bull and scored 25. Thalo4 finished third for Mercedes with 15, creating the exact ten-point difference between the teams' additions.

Silverstone's squeeze receives an immediate answer

Red Bull had carried 105 points into Abu Dhabi and Mercedes 96. The round lifted those totals to 130 and 111 respectively, restoring more than half of the margin Mercedes had removed at Silverstone.

Nineteen points was not a title seal with Spa and Austria still scheduled. It was a reset of pressure: Mercedes now needed to reverse almost two Abu Dhabi-sized ten-point swings.

Driver and team leads expand together

TheMekanic also led the D1 drivers' standings by 34 points over Lups3252. Abu Dhabi therefore strengthened Red Bull's position in both championships through the same 25-point pole win.

Spa was next. Red Bull had not ended the contest in Abu Dhabi, but it had ensured Silverstone's nine-point alarm did not become a trend line.
