Uijyl climbed from eighth on the Japan D3 grid to win and claim a first IMS victory for VCARB. JarvisInitiate finished second from fourth and RobbySimps44 third from sixth.
Every podium finisher gained places: seven for uijyl, two for Jarvis and three for Robby. The winner started deepest and travelled furthest of the three.
One of three VCARB podiums
VCARB scored 157 BOTT points from ten starts, with one win, three podiums and three top-five finishes. Uijyl supplied the victory; the team placed third in the round table.
McLaren led Japan on 194 points and Ferrari scored 170. VCARB's single victory was enough to place it ahead of Mercedes by four, despite Mercedes collecting one more podium.
The D3 season closes with a new winner
Her Wet Cat finished the standings on 241 points, 58 ahead of Duxnuts69. Uijyl's victory did not alter that final top two; it changed the identity of the driver winning the last D3 race.
Season 2 ended with uijyl's first win and a podium assembled from fourth, sixth and eighth on the grid. For a finale already carrying several championship resolutions, D3 still found room for a fresh result.
