McLaren won the Japan BOTT round with 194 points; Ferrari scored 170 and finished second on the weekend. Yet IMS's inaugural BOTT season ended with Ferrari atop the table on 1,801, 440 clear of Red Bull.
That contrast keeps the finale honest. Ferrari did not need its best round to complete the campaign; it arrived in Japan with a lead built across ten earlier events and remained first after all 11 archived rounds.
McLaren takes Japan on depth, not a pile of wins
Balu3580 supplied McLaren's only divisional victory, in D1. The team reached 194 through four podiums and six top-five finishes from nine starts, beating Ferrari's one win, three podiums and five top fives from the same number of starts.
Ferrari's Japan win came from Darth Ussh in E1. Piastrigoat's D1 second place and the rest of the nine-car return helped produce 170 points—24 fewer than McLaren, but enough to carry the season total beyond 1,800.
The inaugural BOTT line never crosses
Ferrari led the archived table after Round 1 on 142 points and kept the lead through every subsequent event. Red Bull was second in the final standings on 1,361, while VCARB finished third on 1,223.
The official totals make the final margin 440. That audited number preserves the distinction the finale produced: McLaren owned Japan, Ferrari owned the season, and the inaugural BOTT campaign has a verifiable measure attached to both claims.
