The margin sat 7.793 seconds below Her Wet Cat's 29.662-second Imola record and 0.430 ahead of Darth Ussh's 21.439-second Canada win.
Five margins span 10.769 seconds
Her Wet Cat led the comparison on 29.662 seconds, followed by RoydeBoy on 21.869, Ussh on 21.439, Katriel FX on 20.404 and Ussh again on 18.893.
RoydeBoy's entry was the only D2 result in that top five. It also supplied one of Red Bull's three Texas victories and 32 of the team's 164 points.
Forestal protects a 35-point lead
The beaten runner-up remained first in the D2 standings on 149 points, 35 ahead of PerfectPaulie88 on 114. RoydeBoy owned the race margin; Forestal retained the championship margin.
Jeddah followed with the historical record intact and RoydeBoy newly closest to it. A gap of less than half a second separated second and third in the table; the race itself had been considerably less crowded.
