VCARB scored 204 BOTT points in the Mystery Race, the second-highest team round total in IMS history through Season 2 Round 9. Ten starts produced two wins, two podiums and seven top-five finishes.
ForestalWaif1 won Monaco D1 from second and ttvwuwumx won Qatar D2 from fourth. Those were VCARB's only podiums, making the 204-point total a product of victories at the front and five additional top-five results underneath.
Three points from Ferrari's record
Ferrari's 207-point Baku round remained first, followed by VCARB's 204 in the Mystery Race and Red Bull's 188 in Portugal. Ferrari's 182 at Jeddah and Red Bull's 182 in Baku shared fourth.
VCARB became the second team to cross 200 and did so with the smallest podium count in the top five. Seven top-five finishes, rather than trophy volume alone, supplied the difference.
Ten points clear of Ferrari
Ferrari finished second in the round on 194 points and McLaren third on 154. VCARB's 204 reduced its cumulative deficit to Ferrari, although the season leader still held a 509-point advantage.
Australia came next with the record still three points away. The Mystery Race had nevertheless shown a route to 200 that did not require a podium pile-up: win twice, then make almost everything else count.
