VCARB left Singapore with both D3 cars on the podium after uijyl advanced from P11 to second and JPThaJoker moved from P10 to third. Their combined gain was 16 positions.
Haas won the race through pole-sitter Uhmm What9409, yet VCARB’s 44 points put it only one behind Haas in the first constructors’ standings of the season.
The podium came from behind the obvious starting places
Neither VCARB began in the top nine. Uijyl nevertheless finished P2 with 24 points, and JPThaJoker followed in P3 with 20. The official result gives the scale of the recoveries even though it cannot responsibly supply a lap-by-lap tale.
Their positions also produced two different opening standings: uijyl sat second in the drivers’ contest, seven behind Uhmm What, while the teams were separated by a single point.
Losing the race, nearly taking the weekend
That is the useful distinction. Haas had the headline result and the maximum individual score. VCARB almost matched the team return by placing two cars immediately behind the winner after starting much farther back.
The first D3 weekend was not simply a story of who won. It was also a warning that a team could begin P10 and P11, finish with two trophies, and make the constructors’ advantage almost disappear before the season had properly taken a breath.
