GRGOAT32 claimed a first IMS podium by finishing second in Mexico’s E2 race. The Alpine driver started P4, gained two places and scored 25 points.
JPlanteX won from P6 and quenooo29 finished third from P3. The newcomer’s breakthrough split the round winner from the championship leader in the classification.
A first podium occupies consequential space
Second place was not background decoration. By taking 25 points between JPlanteX’s 30 and quenooo’s 20, GRGOAT affected how much Mexico changed the championship gap.
The result left quenooo first on 97 and JPlanteX second on 77. GRGOAT’s milestone belonged to a driver outside that leading pair, but it sat directly inside their round arithmetic.
Two places forward, one career marker
P4 to P2 is a modest recovery beside JPlanteX’s P6-to-P1 route, yet it carried its own weight: this was GRGOAT’s first top-three IMS result, not merely another car in the winner’s picture.
Mexico gave Alpine a 25-point second place and GRGOAT a first podium. Its position between the two championship leaders made the breakthrough part of the season’s competitive shape as well as a personal first.
