FTR Button won D2 in Baku from P2 and took 23 championship points out of HPJones's advantage. A 22-point deficit after Zandvoort-R became a one-point lead: 91 to 90 after Round 6.

It was FTR's third successive victory after Spa and Zandvoort-R. The first ended a win drought, the second established momentum and the third finally changed the name at the top of D2.

P2 becomes the championship lead

FTR converted a front-row start into victory. Opts Tryhard rose from P6 to second and JGelinas11 from P9 to third, so the Baku podium combined a one-place move at the front with two deeper recoveries behind.

HPJones does not appear in the recorded top three. The archive does not preserve enough detail to assign a cause, but the standings capture the consequence: a lead of 22 disappeared in one round and returned on the other side of the rivalry by a single point.

Three wins carry three different meanings

Treating the streak as one repeated story would miss its progression. Spa restored FTR to the top step after the long absence. Zandvoort-R established a live challenge. Baku transformed those race wins into first place in the championship.

The margin at the top was only one, so Baku was a pivot rather than a conclusion. Yet the six-round picture had reversed completely: the driver 22 behind one week earlier now held the number every contender was chasing.
