CONNOROCE left Texas as the D2 championship leader after recovering from fifth on the grid to finish second for Williams.

BULLDOGGER47 converted pole into victory for Ferrari, while Schokolade climbed from P16 to P3 for Alpine.

Second place carries the larger total

The finishing order and the championship order point in opposite directions. BULLDOGGER47 owns the Texas win; CONNOROCE owns first place in D2 on 46 points.

BULLDOGGER47 is the nearest listed rival on 32, leaving a 14-point gap after two rounds. The winner closed part of the argument, but not enough to take the table.

Thirteen places from the back row to P3

CONNOROCE gained three places; Schokolade gained 13. Only the race winner began where he finished, which made Texas a round of forward movement behind Ferrari's pole conversion.

D2 now has two separate targets: beat BULLDOGGER47 on race day and remove CONNOROCE's 14-point championship advantage. Texas made clear that they are not yet the same task.
