Ricardo1803 finished second in Monza D2 after starting ninth, gaining seven places for a first IMS podium. Only winner Ranga20063239 finished ahead.

The podium joined three different teams: Aston Martin in first, Williams in second and McLaren in third. Ricardo's route was the largest gain among them.

Seven places produce eighteen points

Second place added 18 points to Williams' Monza return. Ranga scored 25 for victory and Jake took 16 in third, placing Ricardo's contribution squarely between the race winner and the championship protagonist behind him.

Williams scored 40 points across four starts, with one podium and two top-five finishes. Ricardo supplied the podium and 45 per cent of the total.

Williams reaches second without a victory

The 40-point score placed Williams second in the whole Monza round, seven behind McLaren and eight ahead of Aston Martin. A runner-up finish in one division had become the team's strongest route to a runner-up weekend.

The result did not create a championship lead for Ricardo or Williams. It did something more immediate: it established both as podium-level participants before the first Mystery Race.
