Mehinovic00, FTR Button and RobbySimps44 won the three Silverstone races, and each result changed the shape of a championship. After Round 5, the leading gaps were 19 points in D1, four in D2 and one in D3.
The numbers were similar only in their direction. D1's absent leader lost ground, D2's leader finished second, and D3 acquired a new leader through victory.
Mehinovic removes 26 points from the D1 cushion
Mehinovic won D1 from second on the grid, with Lups3252 recovering from sixth to second. TheMekanic17's total remained 83; Lups reached 64, turning a 34-point post-Vegas lead into 19.
D2 compressed more quietly. FTR Button won from second, Jakebandy8 finished second from pole and Ranga20063239 took third, leaving Jake on 77 and Ranga on 73.
RobbySimps44 takes D3 by one point
Robby won D3 from third and moved to 27 points, one ahead of Las Vegas winner Lurrrks. Nexoh S1mple rose from sixth to second and Webbah87 fell from pole to third.
Silverstone did not produce one overarching championship story. It produced three pressure gauges, each moving for a different reason—and all pointing toward Abu Dhabi with less room than before.
