Season 2 crowned piastrigoat as D1 champion, Darth Ussh in E1 and Ferrari as the inaugural BOTT champion after three contests that refused to apply pressure in the same way.
Their final margins—37 points in D1, 16 in E1 and 440 in BOTT—do not reveal the journeys by themselves. The round-by-round lines do, and they explain why one comfortable-looking finish felt tense while another large gap had been large for months.
D1: two lead changes in two rounds
Piastrigoat led TheMekanic 105-93 after Portugal. Texas reversed that to 113-124; Jeddah reversed it back to 144-137. Baku narrowed the difference to five before piastrigoat expanded it to 16 after the second Mystery Race, 20 in Australia and 37 at the finish.
The rivalry's defining feature was not the final separation but the willingness of the lead to move. TheMekanic's Texas win created an 11-point advantage; piastrigoat answered immediately in Jeddah and never surrendered first again.
E1: 29 points become eight, then 16
Ussh led TheIceman 176-147 after Jeddah, but Baku reduced the gap to ten. It moved to 12 after the Monaco E1 leg of the Mystery Race and eight after TheIceman won Australia, placing the season's smallest late-stage cushion on the Japan finale.
Japan rewarded Ussh's response. Victory from pole produced 35 points, TheIceman added 27, and the final standings read 283-267. The lead doubled on the last day without erasing how close it had been one round earlier.
BOTT: Red Bull wins rounds, Ferrari keeps the season
Ferrari led Red Bull by 68 after Silverstone and 212 after Canada. Red Bull's 188-point Portugal record reduced a 193-point post-Mystery Race deficit to 171, while another round win in Texas brought it down to 162.
Then Ferrari answered with 182 in Jeddah and a record 207 in Baku. The lead rose to 302, and even VCARB's Mystery Race round win could not help Red Bull directly. Ferrari finished 1,801-1,361 ahead.
D1 rewarded immediate counterpunches, E1 rewarded a late defence and BOTT rewarded relentless accumulation. Calling all three 'title battles' is accurate but not sufficient; Season 2's substance lives in the different ways the pressure moved.
