Soup9567 won the Australia D3 race from fourth on the grid to claim a first IMS victory for Kick Sauber.

ContexRL climbed from P9 to second for Aston Martin, with pole-sitter jazzy-draught9 finishing third in the other Aston.

The winner passes three; second place passes seven

Soup's three-place gain secured the victory, while ContexRL's seven-place recovery was the podium's largest move. Both finished ahead of the driver who started first.

Jak75421 remains first in D3 on 167 points, 58 ahead of ContexRL on 109. Australia reduces the separation without threatening an immediate lead change.

A first win changes the race, not the table

Soup owns the personal milestone; ContexRL owns second in the championship; jak owns the 58-point cushion. Three different drivers leave with three different forms of progress.

Australia gives D3 a new winner and a closer chase, but not a new favourite at the top. Jak's lead remains almost two standard victories despite an absent podium.
