McLaren scored 248 BOTT points in China, the third-highest team-round total in IMS history through Season 6 Round 8.

The return combined four wins, seven podiums and eight top-five finishes from 12 starts. Only one McLaren top-five result missed the podium.

The complete top five shows the position

Ferrari's 289-point Bahrain round from Season 5 remains first, followed by its 266 at the Season 3 Mystery Race. McLaren's 248 sits third, 18 points behind second place.

Ferrari's 230 at Season 5 Monza occupies fourth and VCARB's 225 at Season 5 Bahrain fifth. The table below displays all five entries rather than leaving the ranking as an unsupported adjective.

Cloud, HPJones and John Marco supply the wins

Cloud won D1 and E1, HPJones won D2 and John Marco won E2. Those four victories formed the sharp end of a score supported by three further podiums.

The 248 also moves McLaren to 1,001 BOTT points, only 52 behind leader VCARB. Its historical rank therefore lands with immediate championship relevance, not as a detached record.
