Jonno completes Hungary double with a 22-second E1 victory

Wins from P3 in D1 and P2 in E1 made Jonno the third driver in as many rounds to triumph twice, but the scale of the E1 result supplied the distinction.

Jonno won both D1 and E1 in Hungary, advancing from P3 in the first classification and P2 in the second. The E1 victory came by 22.061 seconds, the third-largest winning margin recorded in IMS history at the event cutoff.

Season 4 had now opened with three consecutive cross-division doubles: JPlanteX in Australia, Darth Ussh in Austria and Jonno in Hungary. Jonno's version carried its own signature because one win reordered the D1 front three and the other created a historically large gap.

P3 beats pole in D1

Websey started D1 from pole and finished second, while Woolie MD moved from P7 to third for a first IMS podium. Jonno's two-place gain put Mercedes first in the race, although Websey's 48 points still left Red Bull's driver eight clear in the standings.

E1 preserved the first two grid positions in reverse. Jonno passed the pole-starting piastrigoat in the official order, with BULLDOGGER47 third from P4. The 22.061-second margin is the result's measurable scale; the surviving data does not assign a tactical cause to it.

The all-time table supplies the context

A claim that ranks third needs more than an adjective, so the comparison alongside this story shows positions one through five and highlights Jonno's Hungary result. It places the margin among its contemporaries without pretending that a large gap explains how the race unfolded.

Hungary consequently closes Season 4's opening sequence without repeating its predecessors. Australia was two poles converted; Austria was two second-row recoveries. Hungary was a two-division win whose E1 distance demanded a proper historical scale.
