Techubi beat Cambell Adams by 0.057 seconds in Canada's D1 race, the closest finish in IMS history through Season 4 Round 8. The winner had started P18; the runner-up started P3.
China immediately supplied the next entry when Tratracer23 beat Darth Ussh by 0.073 seconds. Spain's 0.129-second Ussh–testwill23 finish sat third, giving Season 4 all three places at the sharp end of the close-finish comparison.
The closest three fit inside 0.129 seconds
The gap from first to second on that list was 0.016 seconds; second to third was 0.056. Canada and China did more than produce dramatic decimals—they displaced every earlier finish from the first two positions of the historical table.
Mercedes raises the pair record twice
FatCatBatMan465 and Jonno combined for a record 79.8 D1 points at Imola, then Jonno and FatCat raised the mark to 86.8 in Brazil. The same pairing also scored 64.4 in China, sixth on the list; Ussh and BULLDOGGER47's 70-point Spanish E1 return ranked fourth.
The sequence matters. Imola established the record in Round 7; Brazil replaced it in Round 12 with a score seven points higher. China proved the pair could enter the top ten even when it did not approach either of its own leading marks.
Three team rounds clear 200 points
Ferrari's 219.8-point Brazil finale ranked second among IMS team rounds. VCARB's 212.7 at Imola ranked third, and its 200.5 in Spain ranked seventh. The three scores arrived through different profiles: one win and six podiums; one win and six podiums; two wins and seven podiums.
Canada added a different team record line. Ferrari's five podiums tied for third on the historical podium-count list and produced 137.6 points, showing that the season's significant team weekends were not restricted to 200-point totals.
Large margins occupy the same season as tiny ones
Jonno's 22.061-second Hungary E1 victory ranked third among the largest margins. FTR Button's 21.006 seconds at Zandvoort-R ranked seventh, and jak75421's 20.315 seconds in Baku ranked ninth. Season 4 placed results near both ends of the stopwatch.
First wins keep the record book human
Murts9691, JDJT3593, Brodsta4hire, JPThaJoker, sirspinsal0t, JarvisInitiate, Emdiska HD, TMT Legend, MAKI, Deathlink10, DonutGorilla12 and PolyTromp all recorded first IMS wins during Season 4. FTR Button's Spa result belonged to a different category: a return to P1 after a wait stretching back to Season 2 Round 5.
That blend gives Season 4's numbers their range. The archive gained new all-time marks, new top-ten entries and new career winners; the useful record book shows exactly where each belongs instead of flattening every achievement into the same superlative.
